FDA Import Alert 99-41

FDA just made a new announcement on Friday of an Import Alert related to FSVP, the Foreign Supplier Verification Programs Regulation:   

Import alert 99-41, published Jan 19, 2022– for not having an FSVP “Detention Without Physical Examination of Human and Animal Foods Imported from Foreign Suppliers by Importers Who Are Not in Compliance with the Requirements of the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) Regulation”, is one of three alerts not updated during that period.  A look through it shows all of 2021 and the increase in numbers of firms and products on the alert compared to 2020 and 2019.
